Known best for her offbeat 1974 pop hit "Midnight at the Oasis," Maria Muldaur finally puts that camel to bed with a crisply produced, impudent album of stripped-down acoustic blues songs from the 1920s and 1930s.
The disc's opener, ''The Sky is Crying'', is culled from the B.B. King live concert video B.B.Wow! Cool video of a young Bonnie Raitt, with the late Junior Wells. A very nice video!!!

Hi All,
I am glad to report I am closing in on the finsihing my book, Guitar Woman. In the last seven years I have done over 80 interviews, written a ton, traveled in Guitar Women shows and just spread the good word about this. It has been the most awe inspiring thing I have ever done. The funny thing is none of it has felt like work (except the grammar and punctuation). It has been loads of fun to learn about the experiences of other women guitarists and I am truly humbled by all of it.
In the last month or so I have gotten my interview with Bonnie Raitt (waited over two years for that one) and hired an assistant and a young editor to help me get everything organized and ready for shopping to literary agents. I am now officially off the road until I get this completed. I am doing only the odd date so my son and I can eat for the next few months. I plan to be done the book by the year's end. read more »

Tom Rush is a gifted musician and performer, whose shows offer a musical celebration...a journey into the tradition and spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. His distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific story-telling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues. read more »

Updates, New Cds, gigs & Gustav, Hello everyone, Hope ya'll had a great summer with lots of time to do the things you love, Summer seemed to fly by for us. I'm going on one year in Kelowna BC, and love this place. The response has been overwhelming in BC, and I'm proud to make it my home. Watching Gustav pound New Orleans 3 years later to the date brings back those helpless and fearful feelings once again from the city that has given me so much, and is my musical home. I pray that the city will survive and that somehow it will rebuild. My family and I own a place on the beach of the Florida-Alabama panhandle, and we are thankful were were spared once again. read more »
